Johan Cruyff
When we have to say which sportsman embodies the values of our agency, which one best represents what we are, we answer Johan Cruyff, beyond a shadow of a doubt.
We respond Johan Cruyff because as a player, with his legendary number 14, he embodies the famous Ajax Amsterdam method more than any of his former teammates: a full commitment of each player to serve the team. This method is illustrated by an epic sentence in the football world, “the goal keeper is the First forward, and the Center forward is the First defender”.
At CLAI, depending on the circumstances and the needs, the presidents write notes and the consultants develop strategies. All team members share the same goal: giving the client the piece of advice that he needs and ensuring its implementation in a permanent and close relationship with him. Moreover, the team also pays a constant attention to efficiency.
These choices lead us to refuse any organization by profession in favor of project teams adapted for each client. For any of them, our consultants take turns to do media Relations, Public affairs, community management, develop campaign or write contents…
Without any form of naivety or deference, but as a talented and inspired player, Johan Cruyff was thus not hindered in his game by an excess of tenderness for his opponents. Indeed, you do not win 3 years in a row the competition that we used to call European Cup without being “thorough” when needed. But, at the heart of this good play is an obsession: results.
We choose Johan Cruyff because as a coach he invented « another football » with the Barça. A football that was entirely based on simplicity. The former three-time Golden Ball used to say “Football is a simple game but it’s complicated to play simply”.
At CLAI, we think that the simplest idea is frequently the best. The simplest idea is often the most efficient and generates the best investment return. In the field of corporate communication, it is not always necessary to think big or expensive to obtain results. You do not measure influence, image or reputation by the means used or the costs incurred. This explains our choice to remain independent and not to resort to intern means of production. Indeed, we do not want to be influenced in our recommendation by a kind of obligation to have recourse to our internal tools.
That is why, tonight, at the 14th minutes of the game France-Netherlands, we will share the tribute honoring the greatest player ever.
